Military Products Sector…

Military Products sector is one of our range of products that needs high specification materials mainly from fire protection. We use class O foams for the inner layer and a unique variety of facings that meet specifications required. For light weight trim we use melamine foam and for a more robust trim, we use our class O A11 impregnated foam.

As with all sectors, we offer a full design package for trim kits or work with engineers at the product design stage. At Acoustafoam Limited, our noise engineer tests for acoustic absorption, transmission loss and vibration control added to the cosmetic design of our trim kits. Seating, headliners, safety harnesses, floor coverings and mats.

Polycarbonates are supplied by us for screens, shields and windows. Our polyurethanes are used for protection pads in troop carriers and fighting vehicles.

Acoustafoam Limited are used to the high security of product design and development and work under NDA agreements with many of these customers.

Some of these customers manufacture one off vehicles. In this situation, it is very normal for us to design and fit on site working closely with other engineers to meet tight deadlines.

We also have printing facilities at our Halesfield factory offering any colour match on facings. This also allows us to print instruction on inner panels.
